Scott Burnett was born in Norman, Oklahoma and raised in Noble. After graduating high school, Scott studied health and nutrition and later pursued a career in the oil and gas industry. Prior to co-founding Global Land Partners in 2010, Scott spent over seven years managing a wide range of leasing, pipeline, and gas storage projects throughout the country.
As the Director of Land Operations for GLP’s central division, Scott is involved in many core operations of the company. His responsibilities include business development, budgeting, assisting management staff, company compliance, new agent recruitment, and networking. Recognizing that communication is the foundation for success in business, Scott endeavors daily to facilitate cohesion with his coworkers and employees. His leadership has enabled GLP to work collaboratively, but he attributes the team’s success to its members. Scott says the GLP team has become industry leaders by embracing new technologies, adapting to their client’s needs, and being passionate about their work product.

Scott is a devoted husband and father. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, fishing, hanging out at the lake, and the OU Sooners. He is a member of several organizations, including the Oklahoma City chapter of Young Professionals in Energy (YPE), the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen (OCAPL), the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), and the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).
